Just a few pics to show off my new boots that I got in TO and my new sweater and skirt I got this weekend. I love those boots and I'm pretty found of that skirt as well. Now if I could only lose those 10 lbs. I mean I have succeeded in meeting my 2 week mark for no snacking after supper. I'm pretty pleased about that. Now I can keep my shoes. Yay, New shoes!! I guess I'll go for another 2 weeks now and see if I can do it. Come on Will Power!!! I know you have it in there. I've also been going to the gym about 4 times a week. I think thats pretty impressive. Now I want to start seeing results. I mean I convince myself its turning into muscle, but I know thats not true.

In other news got a new card today from my honey. We are so cute. I think we both go to hallmark and buy every card there about love and then send one every so often. Honey we are crazy. But I still love ya.

Weight Loss!

Ok how do you lose 10 lbs. I see all these people losing 50 to 60 lbs and personally I can't lose a lb. I mean I go to the gym on average 3-4 times per week, I eat fairly healthy and I have been trying for the last 2 weeks to not eat after my supper. That means no snacking at night. Something that I have to try super hard not to do. I remember during my second year of med school I was really good at this. Now I'm not so good. But I promised myself a treat if I was successful for two weeks. And since I have already bought a treat of a new pair of shoes from aldo so I have no choice now but to continue no snacking for the two week duration. Otherwise I have to return the shoes. LOL. I'm bribing myself, talk about pathetic. Oh well whatever it takes. I don't want to lose a lot of weight. Just a few lbs before Christmas. Oh we will see what happens.

LUGGAGE!!!

Yes that is true, my luggage has finally arrived. I can't believe it. My bag has only been gone since Oct 29. I had to go and buy a new pair of shoes because of Air Canada. But my beautiful boots have been returned. I'm so happy. But I'm still going to make Air Canada pay for the new pair of shoes. Face it, I wouldn't have bought a pair if they wouldn't have lost mine. Fair is fair after all. Oh and a word to the wise. The Air Canada baggage claim office is in INDIA. Good luck trying to find someone to speak with you in English. And seriously if I wasn't such a pain I wouldn't have my luggage right now. I was called India, Halifax and St. John's Daily. You have to love it when an Air Canada employee asks you were Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are. Like come on Buddy, you work for Air CANADA.

Ok enough ranting, my luggage is home.

One last thing from the trip. We are engaged!! Shannon suprised me on Halloween. I know your thinking I'm so hard to suprise, but my man did it. I was in bed just about to shut off the light and Shannon jumped out of bed and said, "Oh honey I have a small treat for you, so close your eyes." So I shut my eyes and when I opened them there was the ring on the blanked lying on top of me and Shannon was on the side of the bed on his knees. He took my hand and asked me to marry him. I just looked at him and burst out in tears. I was in shock. LOL . It was the biggest suprise ever. And here I was thinking he couldn't top my remote start from last Christmas. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Of course I said yes and now I'm planning my wedding!! I can't believe it. I figured he would ask me but not before June or next fall. He took my breath away.

Well I'm back from my trip to
St. John Virgin Islands. This is a pick of me

and shannon waiting in St. Thomas for the ferry over to St. John. It was so hot when we got off the plane, I thought we were going to die. We went from -5 to +29-31 degrees in a few hours. It was amazing. Shannon and Ihad such a good time. Our first night there we went out to dinner at Rhumb lines with Larry and Jen. If you know Kenny Chesney well that apparently is the place where he and Renée Zellweger went after their wedding. The food was amazing. I had the pad thai and Shannon had the pork. I had the best passion fruit daiquiri. Then we came back to the resort and swam in the pool and layed around in the hot tub. We also went snorkeling, rode some water bikes, went for a tour of the island and lazed around on the beach. Definitly a well needed holiday. Of course I still went to the conference but it was very low key. But a valuable learning experience. I'll post some more pics of our vacation.

I've been a bad blogger. Promise will post later after I pick up a white mocha from second cup. I'll post pics of my ring and our trip to the Virgin Islands.
